"We finally find the cable car stop. It's a 45-minute wait. We contemplate taking
a gypsy limo to Chinatown. Someone
haggles a $30 ride from a Mid-Eastern man to transport our group. Donovan is wary.
He sees chickens fluttering around
in the back seat." - Deanna
"While waiting impatiently at the trolly station, we were
entertained by a homeless street performer. He was a much better stand-up comic than a
singer. His old mic and battery powered guitar amp sounded like crap, but the way he'd get up and pester the line of people for donations
after every song was amusing" - Donovan
"I sleep in a cardboard box. What do I do when it gets
really cold out? I set it on fire". - Street Performer

Distant view of Alcatraz & the bay
from "near" the rear of the trolley car..
4:17 p.m.
The cable car operator lady yells at Dave and tells him to, "Step off!" We
all want to stand on the back and it's not allowed.
4:22 p.m.
Manny rides in the front of the cable car. - Deanna

"I rode up front! What WAS that??" - Manny Rivera
