We arrive back to Joel's to a barbecue party. I realize quickly that it's a party geared for rock stars because all of the attendees are young girls who like to drink a lot and then tell stories about how much they like to drink. - Deanna

"When are the hot guys going to arrive?

8:17 p.m.
They're not. So I build a fire in the barbecue grill. Christine helps out with starter sticks. It becomes a popular place to hang out. Not as popular as the beds of course.

9:59 p.m.
We find the dogs licking the meat on the buffet table. We keep it on the DL" - Deanna

10:15 p.m.
"Some party guests give new meaning to the game Spin the Bottle. Some bottles give new meaning to Spin the Bottle. Before the end of the night, everyone but me had their mouth on that bottle. I like to be different". - Deanna





10:59 p.m.
Many of the guests have changed into pajamas. Huh? One girl eagerly devours bean-dip that has been
lovingly slobbered on by three different dogs. - Deanna

San Francisco to Lake Tahoe
6:30 a.m.
The barbecue slumber party leaves and I wake up to help Joel clean. Donovan sleeps behind a closed door. Justin sleeps on a blow-up mattress in the kitchen.

6:47 a.m.
I find a plate of macaroni and cheese and two glasses of wine in the bathroom. Classy people, classy times.

7:32 a.m.
Joel takes me to Starbucks for a cleaning break. Then more cleaning. Ever see that movie "Sixteen Candles"? It was like that minus the pizza on the record player. - Deanna
