Overall, one of the greatest advantages we had while
working on this album was the luxury of time. I think we rushed the first record a bit. We
had a CD release party booked while we were still in the studio. Nearly every step in the
process was potentially compromised due to that ridiculous desicion. Looking back I feel
that we were just desperate to get a recording out. Four years as a band with no album was
frustrating. This time around we simply set out to make a great record and to show anyone
interested that there's "more where that came from".
While typing this, still weeks before the release of "Brave Angel", I'm already
working on the next record in my mind. I would love to have all of my best songs on disc
someday, but in the last 2 years I've been writing faster than we can record... so I know
that will never happen. It's easy to be inspired when you can see everything coming
together so completely. Even with eyes half open. The feedback, support, interest and fun
we've enjoyed over the last year or so has been incredibely fulfilling. I would like to
send out a sincere message of appreciation to all who have ever praised, encouraged or
even cared enough to question this whole "Blue Meridian" thing. I'm forever
flattered that you even listened.
